I have been a florist for many years and I love what I do! I have owned Vida Flores since its incarnation in 2000.
My aim was to offer a complete flower retail package, where our customers could get great service, beautiful flowers for gifts, home / office, events and to help people learn all about flowers and to feel good about arranging themselves. For people to see and feel the importance of flowers in there surrounds. I feel we achieve this every day.
One of the aspects of my business that I enjoy the most is to design and create flower installations for events. The challenge to create something new and exciting for each new event – so often this is for repeat clients, is the most satisfying part of what I do. The best part of all our days is to get a ‘wow’ from people that see our flowers. The whole point is for flowers to make people happy, and if that is what we contribute to someone’s day, all the better!
Newmarket is the perfect place for us as it is a fashion and design hub, we are tucked away in a fabulous little street with lots to see and do. Our windows are always a highlight, some ask ‘is it a florist or is it a gallery?’ and we really like it that way.

Sarah Barry
Vida Flores Flower School and Studio Makers
Sarah Barry has been part of the Vida Flores family for almost 20 years, when she started out as a junior florist in 2001. She has worked for Davina on and off ever since, in between having her four children and stints in fashion show production, styling and fashion marketing roles. With a background in fashion, floristry and design, and qualifications in marketing and psychology, Sarah Barry oversees all things Studio Makers and Vida Flores Flower School. Sarah believes her role here couldn't be more perfect. She has a great love for design, colour, fabric, craft and the arts, and this is what she engages in everyday in her job. Sarah's role includes curriculum design, liaising with our Studio Makers creatives and artists, customer relations, managing our website, and overseeing our social media and publicity.
Sarah loves seeing people walk away from our workshops with a huge smile on their face and arms full of stunning flowers, or a fabulous piece of their own craft.
