Queenstown Floral Event - Festive Foraging, Foliage and Blooms - 10am-12pm - Saturday 9th November 2019
Peonies, peonies, peonies! With these in such wonderful beauty and abundance in the South Island in early Summer, we decided we couldn't possibly hold a Queenstown workshop in November without including our all-time favourite bloom!!
After a hugely successful visit in June, we are delighted to be offering the good people of Queenstown another gorgeous day of floral design classes. The morning class (10am-12pm) will include a session on foraging and how to use your garden and the great outdoors to choose lovely elements for your arrangements at home. This time you will learn about what the Summer season has to offer from our beautiful landscape and gardens. Using one of our most adored blooms, the peony, we will take the foraged elements and create stunning, large scale vase arrangements.
Our focus is on the festive season ahead, and how to use flowers to make your home spectacular for Christmas and the party season. You will design and construct a tall and elegant arrangement for the dining table or entrance hall.
You will also learn all the basics in flower care and keeping your blooms in good condition. This will be a glorious hands-on floral design lesson with our head tutor and Vida Flores founder, Davina Prankerd.
We would also like to invite you to join us for lunch after the class (or between classes if you are doing both). $20pp for a delicious lunch, and tea and coffee also. Please choose the 'class with lunch' option upon booking if you intend to stay for lunch. Lunch will be from 12-1:30 (between both classes).
Please bring a large vase from home that you are keen to learn how to arrange in. No smaller than 15-20cm diameter and 30-40cm tall.
ALL flowers and other materials are included in the price. The class is suitable for ALL LEVELS.
The class will be held at an exclusive Gibbston Valley residence (address to be confirmed upon booking).
