Pottery Experience with Laurie Steer - Saturday 12th October 10am-3pm
Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced clay hound this is a chance for you to get your hands dirty in a beautiful and supportive setting under the guidance of a master craftsman. This relaxed and playful workshop will focus on hand built teaware including tea bowls, coffee cups and teapots for the more adventurous!
Aspiring potters will explore multiple techniques for creating their own unique pots and broaden their understanding of clay as a dynamic natural material. Broken into two easy going parts, the morning session runs from 10am till 12pm after which there will be a one hour lunch break. Hungry potters are encouraged to find something delicious to eat from nearby cafes. The workshop resumes at 1pm and concludes at 3pm with everyone completing their own original handmade tea-set and/or coffee cups.
This inspiring and educational day includes all materials, firing, glazing and return postage. Take the first step to igniting your passion for pottery or reignite an old flame at this intimate, inspirational ceramic experience.
