Celebrate World Embroidery Day with an embroidery class with Jo Dixey. Saturday 30th July 10am – 12

Celebrate World Embroidery Day with an embroidery class with Jo Dixey.

In this class you will  stitch an Echinacea patch. Echinacea is famous for its power to boost our immune system during the winter months, maybe wearing a stitched Echinacea flower will boost our mood in the same way. This patch can be stitched to a bag or jacket so the tiny flower is with you all the time.

Spend a couple of hours being introduced to hand embroidery. Stitch this small Echinacea flower in a choice of colours on a piece of naturally dyed fabric. Learn 4 different embroidery stitches, split stitch, long and short, stem stitch and french knots. No experience necessary, all materials provided. Perfect for beginners or those that want to join a group and start stitching
